Hunger Action Month, observed every September, is a powerful reminder of the persistent issue of food insecurity and our collective responsibility to address it. Each act of generosity contributes to a larger movement aimed at eradicating hunger. We remember that when we come together, we can create lasting change.

Hunger does not end when the calendar turns to October and by proactive engagement, we can help build a society where everyone has access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.

Join us by participating in one or more of the following Hunger Action Month activities. Your involvement will raise awareness about hunger in our local neighborhoods, provide support to those in need, and help us move toward a more just and nourished world.

  • Visit The Ambleside Pub in Mount Kisco during the entire month of September to try their specially created cask ale called, “Fight Hunger IPA.” For every $11 full pint and $6 half pint sold, the Pub will donate $2 and $1, respectively, to MKIFP.  *Note: Full pints at Ambleside are 4 oz. more than a traditional American pint!

    ALL OF SEPTEMBER

  • Visit Mount Kisco’s Exit 4 Food Hall from Sunday, September 8 through and including Saturday, September 21, and order the “Pantry Power Pizza!” Known as the “Fresca Pizza,” this pizza is made with local heirloom tomatoes, a pesto crust, mozzarella, red onions, fresh basil, burrata, olive oil, and a balsamic glaze. With your purchase of a $24 Fresca Pizza, Exit 4 will donate $4 to MKIFP.
