SPONSORED PROGRAMS

The following programs are made possible by significant support from corporate grants, sponsorships, and contributions from businesses of all sizes. Together, we address the urgent challenge of food insecurity impacting working families, individuals, and seniors in the Northern Westchester community.

Morning Fuel Up

In partnership with Neighbors Link and sponsored by Mariano Rivera Toyota in Mount Kisco, this program serves freshly prepared hot breakfasts to an average of 20 hardworking neighbors, six days per week, all year long. In 2024, Morning Fuel Up provided approximately 5,800 meals. This breakfast initiative fuels the participants with nourishment as well as a sense of community to sustain them during the day ahead.

Schools Out Supplement (SOS)

While school is out for the summer, children who rely on school-provided free or reduced-cost lunches experience a nutrition gap. In response, in 2019 the Pantry launched the “School’s Out Supplement” (SOS) program”. This popular 10-week summer program provides extra lunch food items for families with school-age children. Since 2019, the Pantry's SOS program has served over 18,000 children.

The Worby Sustenance for Seniors Program

Approximately eighty homebound seniors benefit from biweekly home deliveries made by Pantry volunteers. Together, they receive the equivalent of 18,720 meals annually. Every bi-weekly home delivery brings more than just nutritious food - it delivers comfort, care, and connection through a friendly visit by a Pantry volunteer. This lifeline of support is made possible thanks to the generous multi-year leadership gift made by The David Worby Charitable Foundation. According to David Worby: “Isolation of Seniors in our society, particularly those less advantaged, creates many challenges. Many are not mobile and struggle to find nutritional food. Older people are more susceptible to health problems from lack of healthy foods, so by providing nutritious food to them, we are enhancing their well-being and nourishing them as well.”
