Before retirement, Lena was the Director of Community and Media Relations at Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, where she designed a thriving corporate, civic, community organization, school-based outreach, and fundraising program, raising millions of dollars. She oversaw a VIP-volunteering program that developed into a reliable source for future Board members. Over the years, Lena volunteered as a member of the White Plains and the Mount Kisco Rotary Clubs and served on the Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce Board. Lena joined the Pantry’s Board in 2015, serving as Chair of the Development Committee for eight years and as the Nominating Committee Chair for one year, and provides extensive outreach support regularly. Lena is also the Board liaison for the Pantry's Student Advisory Council.
